Book Readings

I have been doing book readings at schools I have a contact with. Some of them have been schools that my grandchildren attend and some have been schools that I worked in prior to retiring from being an occupational therapist. It has been quite a wonderful experience. To be honest, book promotion is not something that comes easily to me. However, reading to a group of children and then answering questions has been an absolute joy.

The children have ranged from kindergarteners to third graders. All of these groups have listened attentively and given me positive feedback. My favorite questions have been regarding how I came up with the idea of a tangle fairy and if there are other adventures for the fairy. And then there was a little boy who asked , "How old are you? You have white hair!" That cracked me up. The teacher tried to admonish him, however, it didn't disturb me. I gave him a 20 year age rang and asked him to guess how old I was. The interesting thing was that he guessed it exactly!
Children never cease to amaze em!
